In recent years, he's been associated with Miller's Central Air Inc. in Lake Placid, Florida. He has 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He founded the St. Vincent de Paul conference in Fort Lauderdale in 1955 and again founded the St. Vincent de Paul conference in St. James parish in 1991, Over the years, Chuck's greatest loves have been his wife and family, his love for his church, and his love for the Navy, as evidenced by his many home-made ship models, all built to scale and representing many man hours as a labor of love. Funeral services and military honors will be at St. James Catholic Church, 3380 Placid View Dr. Lake Placid, FL 33852 on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you send donations to the St. Vincent de Paul at St. James parish in Lake Placid and/or Good Shepherd Hospice 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring Florida.
