Celestino Martinez, 81, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday afternoon, July 16, 2025, at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Celestino was born on July 27, 1943, in Tetipac, Guerrero, Mexico.  He was the son of Silvina (Linares) and Consencion Martinez.  Celestino has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1979, moving here from Mexico.  He was a retired grove worker in the citrus industry where he worked for many years.  Celestino was of the Catholic Faith. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Antonia and is survived by his loving children; Rosa Martinez, Emilio Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Pedro Martinez, four grandchildren; Cesar Emilio Martinez, Jacqueline Martinez, Yareli Martinez Ricardo Martinez and two great-grandchildren; Emiliano Martinez and Nicholas Martinez.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 9:30AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service to celebrate Celestino's Life at 11:00 AM, at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid., with Father Felix Gonzalez officiating.  Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife.  Arrangements entrust to the Scott Funeral Home 863-465-4134.
