Cecille H. Tyson, 81, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Tuesday evening April 2, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. She was born on October 3, 1931 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to parents Beryl (Stephenson) and Simeon Parchment. Mrs. Tyson moved to Lake Placid 20 year ago from Miami, FL. Cecille enjoyed Gardening, sewing and loved spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Placid Lakes. Mrs. Tyson is preceded in death by her son James Lloyd Tyson and she is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Astley; children, Debbie Hyrne (Michael), Sandra Saffran, Gary Tyson and Raymond Tyson and five grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Tyson's life will be held 11 AM this Saturday April 6, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Placid Lakes 116 Cleveland Avenue NE, Lake Placid with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to service time. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery will follow the service. The family suggests donations in Mrs. Tyson's memory to the First Baptist Church of Placid Lakes Building Fund.
