Carroll Crawford Choate, 75, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 15, 2021 at her residence.  She was a native Floridian who was born in Miami on August 8, 1945.  She was the daughter of Christine (Duke) and James Crawford.  Carroll has been a resident of Lake Placid for 35 years moving here from Wauchula.  Carroll retired from AdventHealth (Florida Hospital) where she was an emergency room administrator.  Carroll was of the Baptist.  Carroll enjoyed her soap-operas "Days of Our Lives" and "General Hospital", reading a great novel, cooking meals for her family and friends to enjoy and talking football with her grandson.  She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family, being with them anytime they could get together.  Carroll is preceded in death by her son Joseph Medley.  She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years David, sons; Michael Ray Medley (Victoria), David Choate, three grandchildren; Mark Alan (Anna), Dalton Michael, Joseph Mitchell Medley and extended family members. A service to celebrate Carroll's life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd.., Lake Placid with Pastor Jake Daniels officiating.  A gathering for family and friends to reflect on Carroll's life will be one hour prior to service time.  Burial to follow at the Bowling Green Cemetery.
