Obituary
Carolyn Ann McPherson, 76, of Lake Placid, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday morning, June 1, 2015 at her residence.
The daughter of Bonnie (Taylor) and J.B. Barfoot, Carolyn was born on June 7, 1938 in Alachua County, FL. She had been a resident of Highlands County for 61 years. She loved reading, especially the Bible and Christian material. She was an expert seamstress and very creative with crafts. Preparing meals for the family is something she enjoyed doing. Carolyn loved spending time with both her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children, Karen Lee Lightsey, Robin Darlene Pridgen and son Bruce Lee; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. McPherson's life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 5, 2015, at Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid, with Pastor Floyd Holland officiating. A visitation for family and friend will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
