Carol A. Davis of Lake Placid, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 11 unexpectedly. She was the daughter of Elsie "Boo-Boo" Hassenstein and Charles Braun. Carol was born in Baltimore, MD on September 2, 1942. Carol and her husband Ron retired in Lake Placid in 1997 and moved into Tomoka Heights in 2005. She was a loving wife, Mom, Grammy, and friend. Her talents and gifts were plentiful. She especially loved to cook and blessed everyone with her extraordinary culinary skills. She loved to travel with friends and family and had a fantastic memory of all the places she had been. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, Sudoku and a good game of cards. Her emotional strength and incredible love will be missed dearly.
Carol is survived by her soulmate and loving husband of 55 years, Ron Davis; three daughters: Diana L. Davis (Leigh Hawkins), Elyse "Lisa" Davis (Carol Murray), and Melissa Mae Davis; as well as three grandsons: Scott Moody (Stephanie), Ryan Moody (Courtney), and Josh Shackelford. Friends and loved ones will be received during a Celebration of Life at 6:00pm, August 14, 2015 at Scott Funeral Home, 504 Interlake Boulevard, Lake Placid.
