Carmen E. Duncan, 86, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord early Saturday morning August 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at her residence.

A native of Arcadia, Mrs. Duncan was born on November 28, 1927 to parents Bessie (Newberry) and Elmer A. Albritton. Mrs. Duncan has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past fifty years and was a retired school teacher with the Highlands County School System in Lake Placid. Mrs. Duncan enjoyed music, teaching Sunday school at her beloved church, the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid. She loved spending time with both her family and friends.

Mrs. Duncan is preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale and grandson Jason. Mrs. Duncan is survived by her loving children Bruce Duncan (Lynn) and Rebecca Ann Kibbler (John); 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Duncan's life will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid 119 E. Royal Palm Street Lake Placid with Pastors Rick Nations and Mike Ford officiating. The family suggests donations be made to the Just One More Ministries in care of the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid your favorite charity in Mrs. Duncan's memory.
