Birchie Lee Klug, 85, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Friday January 10, 2014 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center. She was born on August 26, 1928 in Irvine, KY to parents Hester and Robert Mize Benton. Mrs. Klug was a retired beautician in the cosmetology industry and utilized her talents by playing the piano and organ in nursing homes around Lake Placid. Birchie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence who passed away on June 7, 2004. She is survived by her loving sons, Larry and Dan Klug, dear grandmother of Joshua, sister of Walter, George, James, and (late) Belva Benton. Mrs. Klug was laid to rest next to her husband on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
