IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly Ann
Biscanin
December 12, 1936 – October 30, 2023
Beverly Ann (Putthoff) Biscanin was born on December 12, 1936 in Kansas City, MO. Beverly passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023 at her home in Lake Placid, FL surrounded by family. She was the daughter of Paul and Florence (Frey) Putthoff. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Patrick Biscanin. She has four children, Nancy Politsch (Kent), Douglas Schelich, Paula Draves (James) and John Paul Biscanin. She was extremely proud of her four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Beverly began dancing and performing professionally at the age of three. She continued to dance throughout her life, including being the head cheerleader at Lillis High School. Upon graduation from the University of Missouri, she opened her own dance studio. Later, she was the dance and physical education teacher for nine years at The Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles, MO.
Upon returning to Kansas City in 1972, she was employed by Waddell and Reed Investment Company. She worked in the insurance department covering the eastern half of the country. Beverly was very diligent, detailed oriented, and had a strong work ethic that she passed onto her children.
With the birth of her youngest child, she retired. She devoted the rest of her life to volunteer work at her church, multiple charities and youth activities. In 2016 she
moved to Florida and continued her volunteer work at the Lighthouse Art Center in Tequesta, FL. Her volunteer activities declined in 2022, after a severe neck injury.
Beverly was a lady of extraordinary talents and grace, truly one of a kind. She was beloved by not only her entire family, but all who came to know her. She had the rare ability to light up a room, make sincere acquaintances with those of diverse backgrounds and establish lifelong friendships.
Beverly loved to travel with her husband and family. She had an exceptional talent for planning memorable trips. She traveled to five continents and always looking forward to the next trip.
Her family was the most important thing in her life. She will be greatly missed. She has left us with fabulous memories and the lessons on how to live your life to the fullest.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on November 11, 2023 at the home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Tykes & Teens. Tykes & Teens is an accredited health organization, 501(c) 3 that provides mental health services and programs to children and adolescences.
