Betty R. Lowder, 75, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. Betty was a native Floridian who was born on December 8, 1948, in Lake Wales. She was the daughter of Mattie Ruth (Copeland) and Lester Cone. She has been a resident of the area for many years. She was a retired housekeeper working in the hospital industry. Betty was of the Baptist faith that enjoyed crocheting, clogging and horseback riding. She loved to be with her family and friends anytime they could get together.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Mattie Ruth (Copeland) and Lester Cone, and her brothers, Roger Cone and Roy Cone. She is survived by her brother Billy Cone, her loving children; Jackie Lowder, Melanie Lowder, and David Lowder, her grandchildren; Sara Lowder, Scott Button, Ashley (Button)Calvillo, Trishta Button, John Lowder, Bryan Lowder, Tara (Lowder)DeMar and Cody Lowder, along with several great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Betty's wishes, services to celebrate her life are private for the family.
