Babe A. Roebuck, (Bertha) 73, of Lake Placid, lost her short battle with cancer on Monday morning, January 30, 2017 at her residence in Lake Placid, FL. She was the daughter of Edith Winters and Wayne Canon. She was born on September 8, 1943 in Faith, SD. A homemaker, Babe raised her four children and took care of her family. Babe has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past four years moving here from Kissimmee, FL and South Dakota. Babe was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lake Placid. She enjoyed time on the beach, gardening, working a good word search puzzle, coloring, and shopping. She loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Buddy J. Roebuck, and two children, Jake and Larae. Babe is survived by her loving children; Clayton (Renee), Claude (Janice), Renee (Paul) and Bud (Bobbi Jo), ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister and four brothers.
