Barry Lee Brown, 79, of Sebring, FL we n t home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the Orchid Cove at Lake Placid. Barry was born on December 2, 1942 I Providence, Kentucky and was the son of Dorothy (Merriman) and George Brown. Barry has bee a resident of Highlands County since 2004 moving here from Kentucky. He served his country with honors in the United States Marine Corps. Barry was a retired firefighter with the Fayette Urban County Government where he served the community for many years. Barry was of the Pentecostal faith. He was an avid reader who enjoyed a great novel, tinkering around the house fixing things, fishing the local lakes and handling the social actives out on the lake. He loved to be with his family and friends anytime they all could get together especially time with his grandchildren. Barry is survived by the love of his life of 50 years Debbie; sons, B arry Matthew Brown (Tamara), James Andrew Brown and Jonathon Brown; Daughters, Bari-Lynn and Janie; and four grandchildren. In keeping with Barry's wishes, services to celebrate his life will be private for the family.
