Barbara Lee Priest-Gifford, 57, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Saturday Morning May 3, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on July 2, 1956 in Bethpage, NY to parents Mary Louise (Stikeleather) and Warren Alfred Priest. Barbara was raised in Arcadia, FL, moved to Oklahoma and Texas before moving to Lake Placid 3 years ago. A homemaker, Barbara enjoyed reading, gardening, following her children's sporting events in softball and volleyball and loved being with her family and friends. Barbara was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Episcopal Church in Lake Placid. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and daughter who is survived by her loving children, Shannon Schmidt (Nic), Shianne King (Robert) and Lester Gifford III (Amber); 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; mother Louise Priest; sister, Donna Sapp (Dale); brothers Tim (Patsy) and Michael Priest (Jean); several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her twin sister, Beverly Hall and father Warren Priest. A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday May 13 2014 at the St Francis of Assisi Anglican Episcopal Church 43 Lake June Road Lake Placid with Rev. Elizabeth Nelson officiating. Inurnment to follow services in the St. Francis of Assisi Memorial Gardens
