Arthur Douglas Theget, 70, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Saturday evening May 11, 2013 at this residence. He was born on August 30, 1942 in Willmar, Minnesota to parents Anne (Knoll) and John Theget. Mr. Theget served his country with honor in the Minnesota Army National Guard. Arthur moved to Lake Placid in 1997 from Willmar, MN where he was a farmer. He enjoyed singing, fishing, gardening, and hunting and loved spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Theget was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid. Arthur is preceded in death by is loving wife of 50 years Barbara and he is survived by his loving children, Kristi Schmidt, Cynthia Priebe, Stacy Clubb and John Theget; 9 grandchildren and 3 sisters. A service to celebrate Arthurs life will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday May 15, 2013 at the Memorial United Methodist Church 500 Kent Avenue Lake Placid, FL. Inurnment and further services to celebrate both Barbara and Arthur's life will be held at a later date in Willmar, MN.
