Albert R. Goodwin, 94, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Monday, January 20, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.   Albert was the son of Elise May Hobby and Albert G. Goodwin. He was born on November 18, 1925 in Winchester, Massachusetts. Mr. Goodwin served his country with honors in the US Army Air Force during WWII.  After his service to his country, Mr. Goodwin went to work as a flight attendant with Eastern Airlines where her retired with many years of service. Mr. Goodwin has been a resident of the Lake Placid area since 1986, moving here from Pembroke Pines, formally of Hialeah.   Mr. Goodwin loved to volunteer in the ER at Advent Health, Lake Placid. He was also a member of the American Legion Placid Post 25. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed his morning visits with the Lake June coffee club. He loved to be with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren.   Mr. Goodwin is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Mae Goodwin. He is survived by his loving children; Carol Ann Bolduc, Stephanie Lynn Boatner, Cynthia Leigh Ross, Richard Albert Goodwin and five grandchildren. A funeral service to celebrate Mr. Goodwin's life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd. with Pastor Wayne Godwin officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service times. Military honors will be presented by the US Army Honor Guard at the Oak Hill Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Lois Mae Goodwin.
