Alan Gene Wade, 74, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 16, 2022 , at his residence. Alan was born on April 1, 1948 , in A lbany , New York and was the son of E llinor ( Phelps ) and Ernest Wade , Jr. Alan served his C ountry with honors in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a resident of Lake Placid since 1994 moving here from Massachusetts . Alan was a retired truck driver . Alan enjoyed working with his hands, riding his Harley and acting as a mechanic on his C orvette. Alan loved to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together. He is pro ceeded in death by his loving wife , Marie , and is survived by his 4 grandchildren : Danielle Camp bell, Jaime Campbell, Matthew He ldreth and Hope Heldreth ; 2 great-grandchildren : A i v a Wiggins, Collin Campbell ; daughter , Regina Heldreth ; and his survi ving s iblings : Gail, Dolly, Marcia and Ricky . A service to cele brate Alan's life will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery December 2, 2022 11:00 AM with military honors provided by the U nited S tates Army.
