Alan Ragland, 79, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday morning June 30, 2021 at his residence.  Alan was born on December 14, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana and was the son of the late Evelyn (Skeels) and John Ragland.  He was a 1963 graduate of Purdue University.   Alan was a retired assistant superintendent in the golf course industry.  He has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past nine years moving here from Naples, FL.  He enjoyed all sports especially a great round of golf and the Indy 500.  He loved to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together.  Alan is survived by his loving wife Arlene, daughters; Laurie, Lisa, Leslie, son; Scott Foster, stepchildren;  Michael, Michelle, Maryanne and the late Marc, eight grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.  In keeping with Alan's wishes the family will celebrate his life privately.
